Position Purpose:

Intermediate level position in the application engineering career field. This individual will have a working knowledge of the SMT manufacturing process in details including the knowledge of Printing and Dispensing process, working knowledge of SPI, Pick and Place and Ovens in detail and knowledge of process optimization. The individual is required to have good customer interaction skills and should show the previous experience of interacting with customers, and project management expertise.

The position is responsible for the following:

  • Support program manager, senior level application engineers, sales engineers and customers in process development work including conducting experiments and determining optimum operating parameters.

  • Support Business Manager and Program Manager in customer backed innovation process.

  • Directly manage customer equipment trials and acceptances.

  • Support the sales organization in technical presentations and industry wide sales conventions.

  • Accepting, logging, and returning customer supplied material.

  • Purchasing and maintaining applications materials and supplies.

  • Participate in the testing of hardware, software, new products, etc…experience with Team Foundation Server is a plus.

  • Utilize optimization techniques using hardware/software to enhance process yields.

  • Understand, develop and implement new printing techniques based on market/customer requirements.

  • Document process developments in the form of reports, white papers and presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Education:  B.S. in Engineering or equivalent experience

  • Experience: 4+ years

Skills Required:

  • Advanced experience in applications engineering specific to process development in printing and dispensing for electronics manufacturing, specific experience with MPM and Camalot products and troubleshooting skills with MPM Edison and Camalot Prodigy machine preferred.

  • Working knowledge of SMT and through whole manufacturing process.

  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing engineering procedures.

  • Intermediate knowledge of inspection systems, AOI machines, is a plus.

  • Advanced knowledge of quality control/workmanship standards as they apply to printing/dispensing for electronics assembly.

  • Working knowledge of statistical process control and data analysis required. Prefer to have Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

  • Knowledge of factory information/automation systems (MES, FIS, SECS/GEM,…) is a plus.

  • Intermediate test and debug skills in hardware, software, and mechanics.

  • Strong written communications skills, including engineering test procedure, plans, reports and operating manuals.

  • Understanding of associated processes and treatments required for fine pitch printing and dispensing applications.

Physical requirements and working conditions:

The working conditions include standing 20%, bending 10%, sitting at PC workstations 50%, walking 10%, light lifting of equipment or components up to 25 pounds 10%.

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer Intern to join our team for the summer of 2018. The qualified candidate will be involved in engineering projects and will spend time in Engineering, Operations, and the Despatch Innovation Center. In addition we are looking for a business oriented intern that will work with the sales, operations and product management team. These positions will be located in Lakeville, Minnesota.

PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development of an air bending feature for our oxidation ovens which included design, simulation, hands-on manufacturing and characterization
  • Product/component simplification and standardization which included analysis of existing components, research on alternatives and design of new component layout
  • Thermal characterization of solar metallization pastes which included literature research, design of experiments, conducting experiments, analysis of results

Position Purpose:

The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including:  gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, developing and executing marketing/business strategies and tactical action plans. This role will define the product vision and work closely with engineering, sales, marketing and customer support.  Ensure the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals. Act as the voice of the customer using end user market research insights, customer POS, and macro market trends to effectively manage the product/segment portfolio and new product development.

The position is responsible for the following:

  • Develop the annual integrated marketing plans for assigned product/segment categories.

  • Develop effective sales tools, training plans and communication devices to drive sales.

  • Capitalize on market opportunities within the product/segment group areas.

  • Manage the execution of the new product development roadmap to capitalize on key market opportunities.

  • Maintains industry and competitive awareness by frequently visiting customers.

  • Continuously analyzes market trends and competitive position of products.

  • Use data driven information to develop product/segment strategies and product specifications.

  • Oversee the validation of performance and marketing features and benefits at each stage of new product development.

  • Assist in leading new product rollout efforts including forecasting volumes, designing market tests, planning product knowledge sessions and sales and channel training.

Qualifications:

Our software supports multiple product lines including stencil printer, dispenser, reflow oven, wave soldering and selective soldering machines. The Global Software Manager will lead this geographically and culturally diversified software team to efficiently and effectively execute established software strategy.

The position is responsible for the following:

  • Provide day-to-day management of software teams locally and remotely

  • Stay current with industry software trend and develop software roadmap for the organization

  • Establish and optimize organizational structure to fit with evolving business condition

  • Establish, harmonize and enforce global software management processes to facilitate cohesive collaboration

  • Provide technical guidance for the team on software architecture

  • Monitor software team performance and leverage best practice globally

Qualifications:
