Software Engineer I

Position Purpose:

ITW EAE is looking for a junior software engineer to work with a team across engineering disciplines to create and maintain software within a Windows PC platform.  This is a unique position to use software engineering skills to control machines used in manufacturing a vast array of electronic equipment.  Responsibilities will include working on all aspects of software development across multiple products.  Assist in analysis of project tasks, definition of design specifications, development/refinement of applications and utility programs, resolution of hardware/software compatibility and their interface challenges and assist with system architecture for new and revised offerings.

The requirements:

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical field
  • 0 to 5 years’ experience to work closely with our senior engineers
  • Experience with the C# or ‘C++’ programming language
  • Development experience targeting the Windows OS platform, preference to using the Visual Studio platform with source control.
  • Experience with software projects using structured design techniques.
  • Good oral and written communications skills.
  • Object oriented programing experience a plus

 Physical requirements and working conditions:

This position requires 90% sitting, 5% standing and 5% walking and occasionally lifting to 24 pounds.

A valid passport or ability to obtain upon starting is required as our team is in multiple locations and customer visits are sometimes required.  Travel up to 10%

Human Resource Manager

Position Purpose (general summary of this position):

Provide direction and support to all HR related activities at responsible site.  Collect employee input and monitor industry/geographic practices for measurement and improvement / changes of practices and benefits.  Measure/monitor/recommend changes relating to state/federal legal requirements to include health, safety, and environmental issues for employees . Develops and maintains affirmative action programs; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to regulations.  Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt and non-exempt personnel, students, and temporary employees. Establishes and maintains department records and reports.  As a partner to the local management teams, they will need to build and drive HR strategy and processes that align with business plans and strategic objectives. Broadly, the HR Manager would be responsible for a wide range of functions including: HR Strategy, Organization Design & Effectiveness, Talent Management/Employee Development, Compensation, Employee Relations, HR Policies & Procedures, HR legal compliance and Company Culture. 

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum 5-10 years experience as Human Resource Supervisor or HR Associate type position.

  • Demonstrated background/knowledge in benefits administration and negotiations.

Essential Functions of the Job (responsibilities):

  • Help design, develop and promote HR programs in accordance with company objectives and applicable federal/state laws.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are administered fairly and consistently throughout the organization.  Make recommendations to improve procedures as appropriate.
  • Counsel management on appropriate course of action in the areas of employment laws, performance management, progressive discipline and terminations.
  • Help investigate and resolve associate complaints including discrimination and harassment.
  • Assist Platform HR Director to coordinate, analyze and provide information on legal issues.
  • Administer Performance Review Program, which includes reviewing performance appraisals, working with managers to determine appropriate merit increases and conducting audits.
  • Evaluate and analyze salary data in order to appropriately benchmark positions as well as maintain current compensation information.
  • Help design, facilitate and/or implement training programs on various human resource topics such as, Performance Management, Harassment Prevention, etc.
  • Development of job descriptions and review process for all positions to include title review and change.
  • Salary benchmarking of all jobs to outside statistics by geography and nationally as required.
  • Benefits review and alignment to provide maximum benefit for company and employees at agreed upon cost points.

Mechanical Engineer II

Position Purpose (general summary of this position):

This position supports Despatch Thermal Processing Technology, specifically high performance industrial ovens and other thermal products.  This individual performs mechanical engineering assignments of wide complexity under general direction with considerable discretion as to work details.  Designs, fabricates, modifies and evaluates complex mechanical and electromechanical devices or systems.  Performs developmental and/or test work which requires a comprehensive knowledge of mechanical engineering theory and design. Analyzes, develops and recommends design approaches necessary to meet production requirements for new or improved products and/or processes.

Skills Required:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering and 2-4 years’ experience
  • Industrial heat processing experience, including heat transfer and thermodynamics, is required
  • Precision machine design experience is required
  • Sheet metal design and fabrication experience is required
  • Experience with Solidworks CAD package - experience with additional CAD packages such as Mechanical Desktop or ProEngineer is a plus
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer skills should include basic PC operation within a MS Windows environment.  Specific application experience includes MS Word and Excel. 

Essential Functions of the Job (responsibilities):

  • Maintains full responsibility for planning, organizing and conducting technical projects within the design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of mechanical and electromechanical apparatus, components and processes.
  • Conceives and plans projects involving exploration of product and/or process problems, definition and selection of new concepts and approaches to the design or development of new or improved products and processes.

Field Service Engineer (FSE)

The FSE performs technical work with minimal supervision by the Field Service Manager, maintains all aspects (Service related) of his/her account base and insures all company/departmental policies are complied with.

The scope of this position, within the normal Customer Support field routines, is to perform basic work by providing professional service to our customers.  Duties include system/retrofit installation/removal, troubleshooting, and repair of all company products.  Also includes maintenance of customer files, selling maintenance agreements, supporting sales and marketing and adhering to the Field Service Standard Operating Procedures (FS-SOP).

Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation/removal of company products (all systems, upgrades, modifications, and retrofits).
  • Perform quality repairs with minimum call-backs.
  • Perform/schedule Preventive Maintenance (PM) and systems checkouts.
  • Perform customer basic training on operation and basic maintenance of ITWEAE machines.
  • Maintain calibration kits and calibration/verification knowledge.
  • Handle customer issues through prompt problem appraisal, escalation, resolution, repairs, and follow-up.
  • Maintain system applications/SMT knowledge (if applicable).
  • Provide system installation in-service training.
  • Maintain a good rapport with customers, Sales Representatives, Sales Management, and peers.
  • Provide timely follow-up to telephone calls and commitments to others.
  • Maintain field inventory, parts usage, and timely return of defective parts.
  • Review and provide feedback on manuals and publications issued by ITWEAE.
  • Provide complete, accurate, and timely field service reports including OOBQ issues
  • Provide expense control as dictated by the FS-SOP and Field Service Management.
  • Reduce identified performance deficiencies.
  • Sell Service Contracts to standards as directed by higher management.
  • Participates in the specification and development of Customer Support Programs.
  • Represent ITWEAE as a true professional demonstrating pride in self, as well as in our organization(s).
  • Support factory acceptance testing (at ITW EAE factory) or customer field acceptance testing as required.
  • Perform all other functions requested that are within the scope of this job, and as deemed necessary or appropriate by the Field Service Manager.

Position Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • AA/AS Degree (Electrical) with 2 years’ experience, or 5 years’ experience if military.
  • Training (certification) in computers (IBM based), DOS, and MS Windows environments.
  • Training (certification) in mechanical/pneumatic assemblies and basic maintenance.
  • At least 2 years of Field Service experience (or equivalent).
  • Excellent fault isolation ability.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and computer competency.
  • Strong customer sensitivity and relationship skills.
  • Understanding of customer retention concepts.
  • Understanding of Account Based Field Management.

Physical requirements and working conditions:

This position requires that the candidate be able to lift 50-60 pounds without assistance and be able to bend into machinery without back restrictions.

Other Pertinent Qualifications- Candidate must have:

  • Valid (current) passport.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License (and Canadian, Mexican, or Puerto Rican if appropriate).
  • The ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 85% of the time.

Position Summary:

This position interfaces regularly with external customers and distributors to assist with the fault isolation of ITW EAE products. Responsible for providing technical support (telephone, email and face to face), part identification and facilitate repairs/services in the field. 

Responsible:

  • This position will support Field Service Manager, Field Service Engineers, Third-party Service Representatives, and Technical Support areas.
  • Provide Technical (fault isolation) Support to our customers on all MPM Stencil Printing Devices and/or CAMALOT products.
  • Responsible for communicating customer issues and escalating to appropriate teams as needed.
  • Provide feedback to Product Support Specialist and engineering on high failure components.
  • Review and recommend critical spare inventory.
  • Log Out of Box Quality (OOBQ) issues reported by Field Service, 3rd party service partners or customers for factory quality review.
  • Coordinate prompt scheduling of on-site service work. Effectively coordinating with Field Service Manager to secure proper resources and validate/update division schedules.
  • Perform all other functions requested that are within the scope of this job, and as deemed necessary or appropriate by the organization manager.

Position Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • AA/AS Degree (BA/BS Desired) with 2 years’ experience, or 4+ years of technical support experience.
  • Training/certification in computer (IBM based), DOS, and MS Windows environments.
  • Training/certification in electro-mechanical assemblies and basic maintenance.

  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and computer competency.

Key Account Manager Automotive

Position Summary:

The Key Account Manager will report to Key Account Director and will be responsible for managing EAE’s relationships with our major Automotive key accounts.  This role is responsible for developing and implementing account strategies to defend and profitably grow the business at EAE’s key accounts.  This role collaborates with indirect channels of Representatives and Distributors and EAE support functions to support existing business and win new business.

The scope of this role will involve the successful working relationships with customer’s procurement, quality, and operations and will lead/support cross functional teams who work closely with engineering by utilizing the ITW Innovation framework to develop new products, address customer pain points, and simplify and improve existing product offerings. 

Responsibilities:

  • Execute and deliver on sales objectives consistent with ITW’s 80/20 principles and based on the Annual and Long Range Plans.
  • Develop and implement a business plan for key accounts.
  • Lead teams to develop specific account sales and marketing strategies to win business.
  • Provide feedback on competitive situations and develop appropriate strategies to win.
  • Work with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering on customer research, project selection, innovation, and product management (inventory management, obsolescence, etc.).
  • Work with Account Managers in other geographies to coordinate worldwide account activities.
  • Network effectively both inside and outside the organization.
  • Understand and communicate global value proposition of ITW EAE.
  • Must be able to foster, communicate and exemplify the culture and values of ITW; act with integrity and trust and shared risk and operate with simplicity.
